Community Healthcare caters for all your health care needs. We are also an accredited training practice for general practice registrars and for medical, nursing and allied health students.

Services Available

The clinical staff at our clinics provide a comprehensive range of general practice medical services including:

  • Consultations for all medical issues

    Please advise us when booking if you would like to cover more than one issue in your consultation and we will book you a longer appointment. Our standard appointment time is 15 minutes.

  • Management Plans for patients requiring ongoing care

    If you have ongoing medical conditions we will ensure you have a comprehensive management plan to provide you with access to all the support services you need and to guide your care. These plans are reviewed every 3 – 6 months.

  • Women's health services

    We have Family Planning trained nurses available to do cervical screening as well as our doctors.

  • Contraceptive advice and procedures

    We can advise you about all the available options. We have doctors trained in Implanon and Mirena (IUD) insertions.

  • Childhood Immunisations

    Our registered nurse immunisers can perform all childhood immunisations.

  • Adult immunisations

    Our nurse immunisers and doctors can perform all vaccinations for adults. Flu vaccines available at both clinics (both government funded and private stock).

  • Skin checks and skin cancer removals

    All Australians should have regular skin checks. If a lesion is found we can remove it in our procedure clinic or refer you to a specialist if appropriate.

  • Health Assessments

    Comprehensive, bulk billed health assessments are available for all patients 75 and over (annually), of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ethnicity - 715 Checks - (every 9 months) and for patients 45 – 49 years old who are at risk of chronic disease and for patients 40 – 49 years old at high risk of diabetes.

  • Antenatal and Postnatal

    Antenatal shared care with GP's available;

    All postnatal checks including 6 week baby checks.

  • Minor surgical procedures

    Our doctors can perform minor surgical procedures such as skin cancer, wart or cyst removals or suturing of small wounds.

  • Asthma and COPD management

    All nurses are trained in spirometry and asthma management. They work with your doctor to develop asthma action plans for you.

  • Diabetes management

    Our ongoing care nurses and dietitian work with your doctor to ensure that you are given comprehensive diabetes care and that you get the support services you need.

  • Dietitian

    Local  dietitian is available for EPC referrals with a management plan  and team care arrangement or for private consultations.

  • DVA services

    The clinic provides all services to DVA patients including the Co-ordinated Veterans Care Program.

  • Additional Nurse Services

    Our nurses are trained in wound care, blood pressure checks, ear syringing, suture and staple removals, in house pathology tests, ECG services and spirometry. They can provide advice and support for many health related issues. Many of our nurses have operating theatre experience and so are well placed to assist our doctors in procedures.

  • Pre-employment medicals and other medicals

    These are available. Please ask for a half hour appointment and advise us what type of medical you require These cannot be bulk billed to Medicare and a private fee will apply, payable at the time.

  • Workers Compensation consultations

    We provide Workers Compensation Services. These consultations are not bulk billed. Fees apply.
